Abstract
Social groups and forces do not emerge out of nowhere; yet they form based on common interests inside the society. These common interests are generally constructed around social gaps. Social gaps practically divide and deconstruct population and form groups that can finally grow into political groups and organizations. Mashrooteh revolution of Iran and modernization by Reza Khan as a tyrannical act was an important event in the history of the 20th century ending in huge social gaps.
The present study attempts to investigate development theories and social gaps along with the contrast between tradition and modernity via descriptive analytical methods. In the final two chapters gaps caused by poverty or wealth and political instabilities and social gaps in the years between 1941 and 1979 are also discussed.
