Abstract

In this paper, two ports Dielectric Resonator (DR) based multi input multi output (MIMO) antenna is designed and examined. H shaped Dielectric resonator antenna is fed by coaxial feed. The impedance bandwidth of proposed MIMO antenna is 2.71 GHz (4.61 to 7.36), which correspond the fractional bandwidth of 51.66%. The gain of this antenna is 4.31dB and efficiency is about 97%. The proposed MIMO antenna occupies the total area of 65x40 mm2 with mutual coupling less than -17dB. The MIMO performance is defined in term of total gain, Efficiency, Isolation, Reflection Coefficient.

Keywords: MIMO, WLAN, rectangular DRA, coaxial feed, circular polarization
