Abstract

Due to the rapid development of business and living in homes, transportation and distribution systems are required to overcome the growing demand for electricity. Therefore, to meet the demand for strong growth, new development technologies, .i.e., FACTS, have been developed over the past decade. The aim of this paper is to use the UPFC and SSSC to increase voltage efficiency in the test system. In this article, we use the IEEE 30 bus as a test and process it through the PSAT software. Minimum voltage level is found in the test system using PSAT and then appropriate FACTS device is searched at appropriate location using trial and error method.
