Abstract

The rise of Asian economies and new dimensions to disputes brought by globalization process required parties to solve their problems with more flexible systems, and mediation meets this necessity very well. This mutual relationship has carried mediation to a more transnational level owing to very recent development, namely Singapore Convention on Mediation. By the ratification of fifty one states, the Convention is an important step in terms of indicating the change of non-binding nature of mediation, and how global commercial system is becoming more mature to operate an internal comprehensive justice mechanism.
