Abstract
Pakistan has remained marred with paradoxical security challenges. This plethora of security and other challenges, weak and unstable political system, and military actions has resulted in absence of unanimously accepted national security strategy and with it a defined military strategy. The contours of security threats have dictated Pakistan’s military strategy, its applications and the development of armed forces. The paper explores Pakistan’s military strategy and the challenges faced by Pakistan as a country and the response to these challenges.
