Abstract

An experiment was accomplished at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Bangladesh during the period from June 2011 to March 2012 to morphological characterization of three strawberry germplasm. Strawberry germplasm, viz., V1 (Germplasm-01), V2 (Germplasm-02), V3 (Germplasm-03) were exploited on the experiment; which was outlined in Complete Randomized Design with five replication. Morphological variables in this set of germplasm were determined to provide information for breeders. Grouping was done to classify strawberry germplasm based on morphology. Germplasm-01 commercially suitable (except the seedling production) germplasm for the farmers. But the grower who desired the both seedling and yield with quality can select Germplasm-03. Germplasm-01 was found as the best for commercial production in Bangladesh.
