Abstract

The study investigated consumer willingness for the protection and sustainability of environment by using a scale on willingness to contribute (WC), developed from literature and introduced on a sample of 300 respondents. The results are drawn using percentages, mean-comparison, standard deviation and ANOVA. Mean values confers that males, youngsters, highly educated, academically intelligent, non-business academics, married, rural residents, working respondents, members of medium sized families and high income class are more willing to contribute than their counterparts. Further, ANOVA test attains that the mean differences of marital status, academic orientation, academic intelligence and profession are statistically reliable. These findings will guide the policy and strategy formulation for creating sustainable environment.
