Abstract

The effect of TDZ on in vitro regeneration in gerbera was studied. This study had proven the efficiency of TDZ, a new synthetic cytokinin like compound to enhance the shoot regeneration frequency, compared to the commonly used cytokinins such as BAP and Kinetin. The influence of TDZ on shoot regeneration was higher at a concentration of 1.0 mg/L with respect to the number of shoots proliferated and the number of leaves generated.
