Abstract

Uruguttu is a tribal village in Jharkhand situated at around 20kms from the capital city Ranchi. The village with a population of around 4000 is the subject of the study in the ensuing paper. The main objective for the same is to determine the status of the tribal education in the village including the infrastructural facilities, prevalent discrimination in the education sector and others. The research on the said parameter has been done by a quantitative methodology using interview schedules and questionnaires. The research has been further substantiated by way of observational methods and by studying the oral history and records from 20 respondents. The data obtained has been condensed and depicted in pictorial and statistical forms.
