Abstract

Automotive industry has seen various innovations since first car was produced. These all innovations though good but didn’t find large takers in its initial days facing resistance. Some of the major innovations in a car are in safety features provided not just to the passengers also to the car. Developed nations more or less have adopted these safety features in their cars but so is not the case in many developing nations. In this conceptual paper an attempt is made to identify the innovations in safety features of a car. Further, paper assess the consumers’ behaviour towards these innovative features provided in cars. Lack of knowledge, extra price the innovation demands are some of the major factors leading to the resistance to these innovations in cars. Some suggestions have been enumerated for these innovations to get accepted by consumers.
