Abstract

India has recorded that in the year 2017, deaths on Indian roads due to accidents stands at 1,46,377. This figure is 3% less than the deaths in the year 2016. Worldwide more than 1.25 million people lose their life each year. These accidents are either due to the failure of vehicular control or human negligence. To make the roads safer for both the people inside the car and the others like pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists, there is a need to innovate the safety features in cars.Therefore this study is important to check the attitude of men and women towards these innovative safety features in cars. It is also important to examine the attitude towards innovative safety features in general.Consumers give very high importance to the safety features in cars. It was also seen that there was no significant difference in the attitude of male and female respondents with regards to the safety features in car.
