Abstract

There is the variation of meaning to a word child‘ as there is no particular definition of child different theories and laws have different meaning of child. During the childhood children‘s face diverse kind of abuses beat it is sexual abuse or physical abuse. Child sexual abuse is a problem faced by the social community from very earlier times, neither the societies nor the governments could effectively implement any mechanism to deal with this menace. Sexual abuse is characterized as the sexual control of an individual by someone else in power or a person in a place of power that includes sexual contact (either verbal and/or visual contact or physical).The number of cases enrolled for child abuse brought from 8,905 up in the year 2014 to 14,914 in the year 2015, under the POSCO Act 2012, and this data were growing day by day. The impact of sexual abuse among the children is exceptionally risky in general for their development and improvement. This paper shows the prevalence of sexual abuse in children in Jammu by case studies and tried to give possible opportunities or Recommendation or intervention to curb this issue of sexual abuse among the children to ensure happy childhood.
