Abstract

Education is a human right and ought to be ensured and secured for all individuals, consistently. The main objective of Right to Education and various schemes and policies related to education is to provide free and compulsory education to all the children so, that no one is deprived of education. In a disturbed state like J&K it is difficult for the children to get regular education in Emergency situations. Crisis situation is defined as made by man-made or natural disasters that affects and distorts the standard states of life, care and deny child to get his or her basic human rights. The United Nation said that approximate one billion children live in struggle influenced territories, of which 250 million are younger than five. These children, and those influenced by the developing number of catastrophic events around the globe, are at genuine danger of exploitation, neglect, violence and abuse. This is conceptual paper that throws light on the problems and challenges faced by the children to get education and also gives some recommendations or possible intervention to cope up with issue and so that children can enjoy Privilege to be educated in Crisis situations.
