Abstract

This thematic report provides an overview of geographical indications (GIs) as tools of knowledge governance in agricultural development in selected Eastern and Southern African countries. The report identifies features of GIs law in these countries, and concludes that properly crafted GIs law can serve as tool for the production and marketing of wide variety of African agricultural resources.
