Abstract

Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 & COVID-19

- How it spreads.

- What has been done?

- Purpose and objective of this work: What correlation exists between COVID-19 spread, fatalities and recoveries with the average temperature of states in Nigeria.

Methodology: We examined the correlation between average temperature and COVID-19 spread in Nigeria using ERA5 monthly averaged data.

Conclusion: Although linear relationships have been observed between average temperature and COVID-19 cases in some regions and on a global scale, no linear relationship exists between average temperature and COVID-19 spread in Nigeria over the observed period.
