Abstract
The main aim of the study was to establish the effect of post-tender negotiations on performance of commercial state corporations in Kenya. The study was 27 commercial state corporations in Government in Nairobi County. The study adopted simple random technique to select a sample size of 84 respondents. The data was collected by use of a questionnaire. The reliability of the instrument was tested through use of Crobanch Alpha value. Data were analyzed using descriptive (Frequencies, percentage informed by dynamic capability theory. The study adopted a descriptive research design. The population on focus comprised of 108 employees from, mean and standard deviations) and inferential statistics such as Pearson’s correlations and multiple regression). From the findings supplier capability and payment terms affected the performance in commercial State Corporation in Kenya. Based on the study findings, the study concluded that supplier capabilities and payment terms affected performance of commercial State Corporation in Kenya. The study has confirmed that post tender negotiations are very significant in enhancing the performance of commercial state owned enterprises in Kenya.The study recommends that there is need to enhance supplier financial capability, supplier competence through training.The study recommends that there is need to improve on the organizations’ negotiation on the advance payments. The terms of payment should be clearly explained to all parties in the phase and periodic payments.
