Abstract

Sometimes the service/network of telecommunications operators in Nigeria (MTN, Etisalat, Airtel, Glo etc.) are so poor that customers find it difficult to make calls. You will be making call and the call will be breaking, sometimes it will even cut. The Service Providers block people's lines/SIM Cards at their whims. They disturb customers with unsolicited texts messages, they activate caller tunez for customers without their consent and even charge them for it. You will send a text message and same will not be delivered but yet credit will be deducted for the transaction and many other issues.

The work attempts examining what the law says about some of these issues by reference to decided cases and the position that our Courts have taken on these issues.

Methods of enforcing the rights were also examined.
