Abstract
Indonesian Abstract: Corona virus disease 2019 atau COVID-19 adalah sebuah wabah penyakit
yang disebabkan oleh novel coronavirus (World Health Organization, 2020).
Wabah pertama kali muncul di kota Wuhan, provinsi Hubei, China dengan pasar
Huanan sebagai salah satu titik penyebaran. Novel coronavirus masih satu keluarga
dengan virus yang menyebabkan penyakit SARS atau severe acute respiratory
syndrome dan MERS atau Middle-East respiratory syndrome (Guo, et al., 2020)
SARS memiliki tempat berasal sama seperti COVID-19, yaitu di China. Persamaan
antara COVID-19, MERS, dan SARS adalah mampu bertransmisi antar manusia
dan memiliki masa inkubasi virus selama 14 hari. COVID-19 dibandingkan dengan
SARS, dan MERS, memiliki tingkat kematian per infeksi yang rendah, tetapi
dengan tingkat infeksi yang tinggi.
English Abstract: Corona virus 2019 or also known as COVID-19 is an outbreak caused by a novel coronavirus (World Health Organization, 2020). The first outbreak of this epidemic is in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China with a Huanan Market as one of the points of spread. Novel coronavirus are in the same family with the viruses that cause SARS and MERS (Guo, et al,, 2020). SARS comes from the same place as COVID-19, which is in China. The comparison between COVID-19, MERS, and SARS is that they are able to transmit between humans and have a virus incubation period of 14 days. Compared to SARS and MERS, COVID-19 has a low mortality per infection, however it has a higher infection rate.
