Abstract
This article considers the concepts of Industrial Policies and Industrial Policy Legislation and their application within the Nigerian maritime industry. It discusses the antecedents and operational challenges of the Nigerian shipping policy legislation and concludes that a broader interdisciplinary approach will improve the efficacy of policy legislation.
