Abstract

This paper provides the edited transcript of a panel discussion on the media and executive compensation at the Columbia University symposium on Bebchuk and Fried's "Pay without Performance: The Unfulfilled Promise of Executive Compensation." Several prominent journalists discuss the problems of executive compensation raised by the book and the media's coverage of these problems.
