Abstract

The power of computational analysis has increased at an exponential pace while the costs of data storage have decreased inversely. As a result data analysis of personally identifiable information is now pervasive. Existing privacy laws are outdated and no longer reflect the technical reality. Changes to existing American privacy protections are required.
