Abstract

This paper explores Robotic Rehabilitation Devices and their ability to help patients overcome injuries limiting and disrupting lower body and upper body movement, even helping with back injuries. This atomization of therapy enables many patients to be treated at the same time and even from home, in a process called tele-rehabilitation. Data can be collected from the biofeedback mechanisms implemented in the devices are used to analyze performance and improvement in the movement of patients. The most valuable aspect of rehabilitation through robotics is that it increases access to therapy, which is usually unavailable due the large demand for treatment.
