Abstract

Admittedly, globalization is present in every sphere of our contemporary life and we cannot escape it. It gets its roots from countries' inability to be self-sufficient and encourages trade between them. It gets supported by political interactions and global order institutions as the domestic and international laws tend to favor globalization more and more as time flows by. It gets only stronger and faster with the help of technology enabling more open and free flows of goods and capital.

But the world business order didn't look like that only a few decades ago. Therefore, it seems beneficial to look back and explore the history of production and business systems. This will help us in understanding why the patterns of production and doing business changed and whether what is happening now is going to give way to new patterns.
