Abstract
Using firm level data from Bangladesh food manufacturing, this paper examines the impact of economic reform on productive capacity realization in the eighties. The results suggest that little improvement occurred in realization of productive capacities after the implementation of economic reforms. The analysis indicates that there is, however, sufficient room for further improvement in increasing output by realizing the unrealized capacity.
