Abstract
As part of a review of Tim Alan Garrison's book, The Legal Ideology of Removal (2002), Professor Miller addresses some new points about the Indian Removal Era. He also discusses some little known Indian law cases. As Garrison's book points out, these cases provided judicial and legal authority for the southern states and the federal government to advocate for and then enforce removal against the southern American Indian Nations.
