Abstract
This is the first competition law case that was brought before the Egyptian courts. It deals with a price fixing and limiting domestic sales cartel among 10 cement companies in Egypt. The Court fined them the maximum fine as they were found guilty. The court of appeal and the court of cassation upheld the decision.
