Abstract
The study aims at thorough examination of issues related to Indian banks’ exposure to equity market. Its objective is to bring about a framework and suggest measures for increasing the direct and indirect exposure of banks to the equity market. The scope of the study also lies in evolving innovative ways of agriculture financing where risk management is an intrinsic part of lending system. There shall be focus on pre-harvest as well as post-harvest financing systems.
