Abstract
Why some companies die and others survive? Looking for answers to this question, we performed a study that identified that companies remain porquehacen changes to its internal organizational form and have sustained superior financial performance. The main objective of the article is to explain these conditions from a theoretical point of view. This contrast is made from a twelve categories, including evolutionary economics, organizational ecology and the theory of resources and capabilities (resource-based view). The conclusions show that the durability to be a complex phenomenon can not be explained in the light of a single theory, although there are contradictory elements including complementary.
