Abstract

Economic indicators of Pakistan exhibit fuzzy picture of the country, which contradicts the real situation prevailing on the ground. It remains an important question for many national and international analysts that how Pakistan endures. Beside some other geopolitical reasons, one of the important factors for the sustenance is devoted and determined philanthropic sector of Pakistan. This article analyses the success of nonprofit sector of Pakistan in terms of funds generated indigenously, sectors focused, infrastructure and finally the ripple effect of their activities for the welfare of the society. This article also explores the philanthropic depth of the society through examining the ability to handle natural or man-made catastrophes over the decades.
