Abstract
This paper analyzes key developments in consumer protection law in the U.S. and Canada in the mid-1990s. Important changes the the Fair Credit Reporting Act, banking law (Smiley v. Citibank), telemarketing, harmonizing laws in Canadian provinces, and other developments are analyzed.
