Abstract
New Testament scholars generally agree that 'The Acts of Thomas' was originally written in the Syriac dialect sometime around 225 CE. They note that a Greek version of the text was produced soon after the original was completed. The text as it appears to modern readers is composed of 13 Praxies (set of examples or Acts), which have undergone a number of obvious revisions making it difficult to recreate in its original form. Nevertheless, 'The Acts of Thomas' in its current appearance reveals the emergence of distinct theological changes that contrasts earlier products of the Thomas community.
