Abstract

Editorial in Dutch law review Mediaforum, a peer-reviewed leading law review on media law in The Netherlands and Belgium. Critical analysis of Dutch proposal against identity theft on Twitter and other social media. Said proposal aims to introduce a new provision article 310a in the Dutch Criminal Code ('Wetboek van Strafrecht') to prevent other from impersonating other persons on Twitter and other social media. Analysis with provisions of criminal law, civil law and new legislation in California (528.5 Penal Code).
