Abstract

The article reflects on Alan Dershowitz's book, The Genesis of Justice. Like the book, the article explores the relationship between the Bible, justice, and modern law. It discusses basic rules of interpretation that must be applied to the Bible if we are to draw proper conclusions related to the sources of justice. It then provides examples of both descriptive and normative integration of biblical principles, justice, and law.
