Abstract
Over the last decade the Internet has increasingly become the driving force in ebusiness evolution. U.S. Internet access and use has increased for all regions, most types of work places, and all income groups. Access and use, however, is neither uniform nor universal across the economic-geographic spectrum.
In this study we examine Internet access and use as it pertains to farm and nonfarm rural businesses. Our study addresses the issue of market demand for information technologies, i.e. the Internet by analyzing explicitly the determinants of Internet use in the farm and nonfarm sectors.
