Abstract

This speech will focus on two points: (i) the definition of “data subject”, and (ii) the requirements for consent. First, the definition of “data subject” should be broadened, to emphasize that the Regulation applies to data that can be used to “single out” a person. Second, consent should be taken seriously. Therefore the requirements for consent in the Regulation should be kept like they are.
