Abstract

This article is about music and how the traditional music business format and delivery is being replaced primarily by downloading, subscriptions and webcasting. It sets out how revenue is generated from music licensing and from what sources. The purpose of this article is to provide a starting point for general practitioners, songwriters, recording artists, entertainment attorneys and intellectual property lawyers to recognize the deal points to effectuate and consummate the best interest of their clients.
