Abstract
This chapter considers developments regarding approaches to regulating markets in an era of globalization and increasing privatization, (the latter generally occurring in more developed jurisdictions). The issue of global regulation of markets, whether it is feasible, and if so how, is one that is increasing in strategic importance, as evidenced by the upward trend in recent years in the numbers, intensity and impact of multi-lateral regulatory agreements and models.
