Abstract

This article first, analyzes and identifies a successful entrepreneur from the characteristics of the entrepreneur who made the incubation process and those acting individually. On the other hand, secondary data and an empirical study of this paper intends to contrast according to studies by different authors how an entrepreneur contributes to the development of the regions from the point of view of identifying opportunity and what is the type of entrepreneur who arises in the context of incubation and on their own initiative. In short, this study explores which of these types of entrepreneurs contribute more effectively to the transformation processes in the context. Through the comparison of studies conducted in various countries and the results of a study on competitiveness of SMES and a case study in Parquesoft in Santiago de Cali and Old Caldas, is to contribute to the knowledge of entrepreneurship as an engine of economic development and social.
