Abstract

Nowadays when many technical acronymic words with the radical "system" invade the theory and practice of information systems is essential not to let ourselves tricked by their fashionable and tasteful appearance and think of what they really are. The main purpose of this paper is a theoretical one and it concerns some arguments about Decision Support and Business Intelligence systems in terms of origins, relations, contradictions and future trends.
