Abstract
This article addresses a growing body of customary and treaty-based international law that governs the legality of the creation, stockpiling, and use of weapons during times of armed conflict and relative peace. Some weapons are outlawed per se, while others are regulated in terms of their use in a given context. Sanctions are also explored including efforts at disarmament and control of arms production and sales.
