Abstract
The paper examines the reponse of New Zealand's Parliament to landmark human rights decisions. It also discusses the general debate on human rights in Parliament. Conversely it examines the courts' attitude towards the doctrine of parliamentary sovereignty. The paper' s thesis is that a dialogue between the New Zealand courts and Parliament exists.
