Abstract
This paper was part of a roundtable discussion of Joseph Fishkin's book "Bottlenecks: A New Theory of Equal Opportunity" at the 2014 Midwest Political Science Association Conference. In the review I encourage Fishkin to recognize the rich perfectionism underlying his bottleneck theory of equal opportunity and to say more about how society should determine which bottlenecks are most appropriate to target.
