The Impact of Exercise on Increasing Lower Leg Muscles Strength - With Specific Reference to Male Futsal Athletes in Goal Shooting Accuracy

Abstract
This article presents the results of exercise training programs that increase the lower leg muscles strength for male futsal athletes in accuracy of football goal shooting and a comparison of the exercise results before and after applying the exercise programs. This quasi-experimental research was conducted with a sampling group of 15 male futsal athletes, who are students of St. Theresa International College, in sports science field of academic year 2015. The duration of the test is 8 weeks, in accordance with the activity schedule, provided that, each sampling group will be tested by shooting 4 goals and to shoot each target goal for 5 times, thus, a total of 20 times. Researchers have brought the test scores to analyze with comparison pair-t-test statistic. In overall view, the study found that the training exercise programs for increasing strength of the lower leg muscles in accuracy of goal shooting is in moderate level. In addition, it also found that male athletes, who have been training with the exercising programs have gained higher accuracy in goal shooting, than before applying the training programs, at statistically significant level of .01.
