Abstract

The principles in functioning of social enterprises in Europe are discussed as part of the development of the concept of social economy. Positioning of social enterprises, the risks they face and contemporary challenges are presented focusing on the main conclusions on the ways of social entrepreneurship encouragement in Europe.
