Abstract
Human community was gifted with a huge amount of natural resources, but today many resources were destroyed. It’s our duty to prevent the existing resources from depletion for next generation. One of the resources is fresh water, the basic need of every life on Earth. At present, due to pollution and other human activities, only a few fresh water resources are available. So, it’s really important to manage the utilization of water in an efficient way without wastage. Our project is one such smart solution for water management in houses, institutions, schools, hospitals, etc. The Arduino board is used as the controller, it gets the data from different sensors and controls the motor and valves function accordingly. The motor is used to pump water from storage tank to overhead tank or irrigation and valve used in motor is operated to switch the supply between overhead tank and irrigation. The motor is switched ON and OFF automatically by the controller under necessary condition alone, thus, it saves not only the water from wastage but also the power consumption due to dry running as well as excess usage even after the requirement is satisfied. The user can also interfere with the system operation via manual interface or android application connected to internet.
