Abstract
In modern society, consumers are seeking more than text, visuals, or dictation to absorb information, appreciate art, be entertained by media, etc. Learning in the information age plays by different rules than historical practices, as knowledge points are interwoven throughout all aspects of society and have alleviated the challenge of access to relevant information. However, the instructional challenge is the ability to capture the attention of audiences and effectively impart knowledge in a manner that transitions from surface learning to deep understanding and impact. The following article will provide a conceptual framework of engagement strategies by which instructors, trainers, and presenters can shift their behaviors to engage audiences in today’s world.
