Spanish Abstract: Las acciones de los grupos armados organizados en América Latina no se limitan a la realización de crímenes trasnacionales, sino que, con cierto grado de aceptación, estos grupos imponen una justicia comunitaria coercitiva, de carácter vertical dentro de las comunidades en las que operan. Así, se estudian los casos de Brasil, México y Colombia para mostrar cómo esta situación, lejos de ser la excepción, se ha vuelto la norma en el continente latinoamericano

English Abstract: Organized armed groups actions in Latin America are not limited to committing transnational crimes, but, with some degree of acceptance, this groups tend to the imposition of a type of coercive community justice within marginal communities. Thus, the cases of Brazil, Mexico and Colombia are studied to show how this situation, far from being the exception, has become the norm in the Latin American continent.
