Spanish Abstract: Como un acercamiento a las diferentes intervenciones (roles e interrelaciones) que tiene la alfabetización informacional (ALFIN) en distintos sectores de la sociedad, y como un intento de resaltar su importancia dentro de las competencias que todo profesional y ciudadano debe tener en el siglo XXI, podría caracterizarse en términos generales este reciente libro del bibliotecólogo, gestor de contenidos y docente, Emmett Lombard, de la Universidad de Gannon, en Estados Unidos.

English Abstract: As an approach to the different interventions (roles and relationships) that has the information literacy (IL) in different sectors of society and as an attempt to highlight its importance within the competence of all professionals and citizens must have in the XXI century, could be characterized in general terms, this recent book librarian, content manager and teacher, Emmett Lombard, Gannon University, U.S.
