Abstract

This paper reviews the role that voter analytics played in the 2019 federal election campaign in Canada. It reviews the database campaign and the operation of the federal parties' voter relationship management systems. It analyses the use of mobile devices for "smart campaigning." It surveys the various companies which operated for the major parties. And it analyzes the role played by Facebook as a platform for political advertising.
