Abstract

The aim of this paper is to x-ray the nature of patriotic zeal that is required in Governance and the unpatriotic attitude that has marred the wheel of progress of this nation called Nigeria. This unpatriotic character of leaders would be assessed both in public and public sector of the economy. It shall also consider the level of lack of patriotism by both senior executive and their junior subordinates.

In doing this, there will be an attempt at the definition of corruption and who is a patriot. We shall also look at the areas where the Leadership and the Led in Nigeria have exhibited acts of un-patriotism and of course look at measures to encourage patriotism in Nigeria.
